On the Sustainable City project mentioned below, a close up floor plan of City Hall was required to illustrate how a municipality need to allocate political resources and energy toward building a more sustainable community. Randal did a floor plan of a typical City hall building to illustrate the office space dedicated to a city sustainability manager.
City Hall Floor Plan
Shedd Aquarium and Oceanarium Facility Floor Plan, Chicago, Illinois
Based upon architecural and engineering blueprints, Randal constructed a new campus master floor plan in Adobe Illustrator, reflecting the addition of the Oceanarium, and the location of all important areas for visitors. These were printed and used by museum docents to direct visitors to areas or amenities of interest or need.
Queen Elizabeth II Deck Plans
Randal Birkey was contracted through a New York rep to provide digital line drawings of all the renovated Queen Elizabeth II deck plans, so that they would be compatible with, and able to be used in standard digital print design layout software.
Using the shipbuilding technical plans, Randal converted each deck plan to an Adobe Illustrator drawing that could be scaled to any size. These files were provided to Cunard designers to be used in various print pieces produced by the cruise line.
