Randal had the privilege of being asked by Doris Christopher to design one of The Pampered Chef’s earliest printed brochures featuring the kitchen products they were selling in the early 1980′s. This line illustration was done by hand based upon photos the illustrator took of the actual kitchen products. It was used on an interior brochure spread with product names and descriptions located around it. Randal also cleaned up the Pampered Chef logo art and added a more contemporary typeface to the piece. It was printed in 2 colors on heavy brown Kraft style paper.

Greetings Randal -
Your art is truly illustrious! I’ve worked with both Jean Stoffer and Pampered Chef – you really capture their essence. I was wondering who writes for the websites you design? I’d love to give it a shot if you have the need.
I’ve been doing some very interesting barter exchanges lately. Maybe you could design my new website, and I could write one of yours….. Let me know if you can find a few minutes to read through a writing sample of mine. Thanks for your time.
Cheers,

Oryna,
Thank you for your comments! You selected one of my earliest paying illustration projects back in the early 80′s when I was just getting a start. I can’t remember how I was connected to Doris Christopher (founder of The Pampered Chef), I think maybe it was through her printer. Anyway, this pen and ink illustration was one of the outcomes of that project. To answer your question, I do all the writing for my own website, and most of the writing on my Chicago web design company called Headstand Media. My son Taylor is also a writer (he worked for Jean a couple of years), and he does a fair amount of the writing as well.
Best wishes on building up your writing business.
